During the month of June, we had the opportunity to help move 4 truckloads of obsolete toilet paper to a supplier in the USA. The reason this product became obsolete was due to a manufacturing error in the measurements, resulting in a hybrid product between commercial and household toilet paper, with residential-sized paper but without a core. To move this product, we conducted an analysis of its potential market and the price that this market would be willing to pay to change its regular purchasing trend.
The supplier received a significantly higher payment compared to what they would have received if it had been sold as waste.
